She had worked hard at this friend thing. Pursued people, pleased them, maye even been overly available to them.
One close friend told her she was impattient and needy and yet she prided themselves that they were still friends.
She always found herself in the place where she brought people together, a gift that came naturally to her because she included everyone in what she does.
One day someone introduced her to a new girl in town.
Ater all she had once been new, though she is now hardly old.
So she took the girl around a couple times, called her up often and then as usual got tired of being the caller and not the calleee.
So she stopped calling and the other new girl did not call her for several months.
Then she did.
She also told Miss. bring-Em-Together that she had been visitng blah de blah and blah blah.
And as usual Miss. bring-em-together took her to meet a woman she had tried to make friends with for all long time and yet that woman had been standoffish.
The New Girl liked the Other Woman.
When The Bring-em-together girl and the New Girl left the New Girl begged for an introduction and phone numbers to the Other Girl.
Miss BET (Bring em together_ set about doing her thing and brought the two girls together through phone and email.
then an odd thing happened.
Miss New Girl stopped calling Miss BET and called once to cancel a running date they had set up a long time ago.
One day several weeks later The Other girls husband told Miss BET's husband that they were invited to their home and that Oh by the way the New Girl is coming too with her husband.
When this was coneveyed to Miss BET she called up Miss New Girl because she wasnt sure if she knew the date and time and because she had to invite Miss New Girl to her daughters party that was to be earlier that same saturday.
Miss New Girl says 
Oh Yeah I knew about the party.
Other Girl called me and emailed me and I even met her at the library blah de blah.
Oh said miss BET and put the phone down.
She was ticked because inspite of several overtures Miss Other Girl had not called her back for four months now.
She was friendly with Miss Other Girls cchildren but she did not like being used by Miss New Girl.
The only thought remained in her head. Should she go.
Miss Other Woman has not called her back till today.
Should she Go!
